ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Nature provides me with everything I need for painting: form, color, and beauty. These elements enhance my imagination and bring me to the joy of watercolor. I create mostly from life and capture the essence of the subject through color and gesture. While growing up in Belmont, Massachusetts, art was a favorite pastime. Although I wished to pursue a career in the field, a more practical profession was encouraged. After completing high school and business school, I entered the business world. Some years later I moved to California and started a family. I entered San Jose State University and earned a Bachelor's in Art Education while raising two daughters. In addition to painting, I've taught art classes at the Pacific Art League in Palo Alto and the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara. I now teach drawing and watercolor at the Cupertino Community Center and enjoy the challenge of teaching adults while pursuing my personal grown as an artist.

SHOWS

"Favorite Places and New Beginnings," new paintings by Cupertino Art Instructor, Nancy Wulff will be on exhibit at Gallery 9, 143 Main Street, Los Altos, from Sept. 1 to Sept. 27, 2015.
The paintings are watercolor impressions with mood and color showing the beauty and essence of each subject. The new beginnings are plein air oil paintings of local Bay Area places.
